ABOUT LASER HAIR REMOVAL IN TURKEY

.
DURING THE LASER HAIR REMOVAL PROCEDURE, A LASER BEAM IS TARGETED AT THE HAIR FOLLICLES, DESTROYING THEM AND PREVENTING FUTURE HAIR GROWTH. THE PROCEDURE IS GENERALLY SAFE AND EFFECTIVE, ALTHOUGH SOME PATIENTS MAY EXPERIENCE TEMPORARY REDNESS OR SWELLING IN THE TREATED AREA. OVERALL, LASER HAIR REMOVAL IS CONSIDERED A SAFE AND EFFECTIVE OPTION FOR THOSE LOOKING TO REDUCE OR ELIMINATE UNWANTED HAIR.

LASER TREATMENT OF EXCESSIVE HAIR GROWTH AND PUBESCENCE

Hair loss is a very common problem that does not come up much in our society and in the medical world, but it is very common. Studies report that 25% of young girls and 85% of middle-aged women destroy their unwanted hair using various methods. Hair loss is a disease with psychological and social aspects rather than being a simple cosmetic problem. Abnormal hair growth, especially during adolescence, should be urgently investigated, the cause should be found and treated. Hormone changes that are dynamic throughout a woman’s life affect the process of hair growth. Before the puberty stage, the facial hair is light yellow in color and thin(vellus hairs). At the end of puberty, hormones thicken fine hairs and turn them into dark terminal hairs. It is normal for terminal hairs to grow in the armpit and genital area. The reason why there is different hair growth in men and women is that there is different hormone activity in both systems. Under normal conditions, testosterone is found in women and estrogen in men to a small extent. It is this increase in testosterone level that causes hair growth in women. In medical parlance, this condition is called “hirsutism”. In other words, due to the increased male hormone testosterone, terminal hair appears primarily on the face, between the two breasts, on the nipples, waist, navel and upper legs, in medical parlance, hirsutism, that is, male-type hair growth. The pubescence observed in both sexes on the forearm, calf and below-the-knee part of the leg has little to do with hormones.

The hairs here do not decrease with hormone therapy. Sometimes pubescence can also be a symptom of an important disease. Estradiol, LH, FSH, testosterone, prolactin, TSH, DHEAS, 17 hydroxyprogesterone tests in the blood taken between the 3rd and 5th day of menstruation illuminate the cause of pubescence. Decongestance of the hair loss in the blood of estradiol, LH, FSH, testosterone, TSH, DHEAS, 17 hydroxyprogesterone tests. These examinations should be performed in an appropriate research laboratory and evaluated by endocrinology specialists specialized in their field. The most common cause of pubescence is genetic. Young people with hairy people in their family are more hairy. This may be on the mother’s or father’s side. The menstruation of the people who apply in this way is regular, their fertility is normal. The second major cause of hair loss is polycystic ovarian disease. In this disease, a large number of millimeter-sized cysts are found on the ovaries.

LASER HAIR REMOVAL PROCEDURE

For the laser hair removal in Turkey apart from improving person appearance, before start of procedure the patient’s hair around the area to be treated will be trimmed to a few millimeters, so it’s just above the skin. Then the doctor will adjust the laser device, depending on the patient’s skin color, thickness, and location of the hairs. The outer layers of the patient’s skin will be protected with a cold gel or special cooling device to help the laser light penetrate the skin. Then the doctor will give a pulse of light to the area to be treated and watch the area for several minutes to be sure that everything is good and to prevent any bad reactions. Each pulse can treat a great amount of hairs at the same time. The upper lip can be treated in less than a minute and larger areas of the body like the back or legs can take up to an hour. Once the procedure is completed the patient will be given ice packs, cream or cold water to ease any discomfort.
